Bag it or junk it: An interesting semi-hybrid performer.

We first saw Lenovo Yoga at the CES 2012 and were impressed. It was a single device that can be used as a laptop, tablet or even as a stand-alone touch screen (like all-in-one desktops). The Flex 14 has a flexible body with a 360 degree hinge. It has a neat, black matt finish rubberized look but is made of plastic. 

The Lenovo logo on the top-left corner. It has a 14 inch HD touch display with 1366 x 768 p resolution. The touch response is great and we often ended up using the touch input to close the window and launch the apps instead of using the trackpad. The well-spaced keyboard is comfortable to type on, with a row of shortcuts added on top of the number keys. 

Lenovo has added volume up and down key to the right edge too. When used in the second position by bending the display backward, the Flex 14 can only be operated using the touch input, ideal for watching movie or even playing games. Running on Windows 8, our review unit had an Intel i5-4200 processor paired with 8GB RAM, that left no space for complaint. The performance was flawless. 

The Flex 14 is ideal for daily chores including multi-tasking, browsing the web, media playback, games, etc. On an average use, it gave us a battery backup of close to 8 hours. The only downside was the 128 GB SSD which is low.
